Photo reportage is at the core of what I do. It opens up exciting insights and perspectives, as it has given me rare access to places and people I wouldn’t otherwise have had the chance to capture.
Analog Age
I feel fortunate to have learned photography in the analog era, when every shot meant metering light, setting ISO, shutter speed, and aperture manually. Developing my own film and waiting days for slides to arrive was a real adventure. The fundamentals of physics and image composition remain incredibly valuable even today.
The Digital Photography Wonderland
Today, I rely on cutting-edge digital cameras and drones for my shots. The subsequent image editing is a crucial focus of my work. Top-notch hardware and software, along with AI tools, enable me to push image quality to its limits while working more efficiently than ever.

Nikon’s mirrorless Z system is a true game-changer, especially for reportage photography. Not only due to the impressive image quality of the camera sensors, but also because it enables completely silent shooting. This opens up new freedoms for photographing live performances at classical concerts, theater performances, or lectures – capturing the moment without causing any distraction.
